1. Why use the Jouplast® acoustic damper?
The Jouplast® acoustic damper is a shock absorbing pad specifically designed for ceramic tiled, stone or concrete terraces built on riser pedestals. Made from recycled tyre rubber, it damps vibrations and reduces impact noise and resonances. Located on the head of the riser pedestal, it improves the grip of the paving above and helps to compensate for differences in paving thickness. The results of CSTB test AC20-26087574 demonstrate that its use reduces resonances by half, compared with a riser pedestal alone, improving comfort in use and delivering optimal acoustic performance.
2. How is the Jouplast® acoustic damper used?
The Jouplast® acoustic damper is extremely simple to use. It is positioned directly on the head of our Essentiel® paving and self-levelling riser pedestals. Pre-cut and easily cut to shape, the acoustic damper can be trimmed to suit the specific requirements of your terrace. We recommend that you follow this procedure carefully to ensure maximum effectiveness in reducing noise and vibration.
